SEMI-CUSTOM ORDERING GUIDE

ORDERING PROCESS

I. browse & select

Choose which collection is best for you. Decide which items you would like to order and then select the quantity, paper and printing method and purchase. If you need more information on this, check out our Ordering Guide which tells you more about these options. Once we receive your order you will receive a confirmation email and an invitation to join our CRM system and indicate wording and colour selections.

II. CUSTOMISE

On your dedicated page within our CRM system you will be able to upload all information that we need to customise your order including the invitation wording, ink or foil colour, calligraphy style and any other details for all the items you have ordered. If you have any questions on how you can customise your order, remember to check out the information in the Ordering Guide or email us.

III. PROOFING

We will upload digital proofs on your dedicated portal for you to review within 4-5 days of receiving the details we need from you. You will have an opportunity to provide feedback and comments for changes. We will make up to 2 rounds of changes free of charge, but further amendments will be charged for at our hourly rate of £75. Remember to check your proofs carefully. Design & proofing takes 2-3 weeks.

IV.  PRINT & DELIVER

Once you have provided final approval of your proofs for all items we will start printing your order.  We will provide you a timeline for delivery of your order once we have received final approval of the proofs. On average this takes about 2-3 weeks.  Handmade paper items may take longer. We will ship your order to the delivery address you provided in your order details. Then it will be time to send your invitations to all your guests.

INVITATION SUITES

ALLOW 5-7 weeks

1. Design & Proofing:  The first proof will be created in 5 working days after you have uploaded all necessary wording and design information in your client area.  Any amendments or new proofs will be provided afterwards will take 3 working days. Once you are happy with the design, you will sign off the final proof in your client area and then production will begin.  You should allow 2-3 weeks for this part of the process.

2. Print & Production:  It will take 2-3 weeks to print your order.  Please note that for orders requiring handmade paper the timeframe may be longer due to handmade paper production times.  We will be able to provide you an accurate timeframe once you have placed your order.

3. Shipping:  Once your order is complete and ready to ship we will let you know.  All orders are sent by DHL Express.  UK orders will take 1 working day to be delivered.  International orders will take 2-4 working days depending on where you are located in the world.

We recommend you order your invitations at least 8-6 months before your wedding date.  This enables you to have enough time for production, posting out to guests and receiving your RSVPs in plenty of time (ideally 2 months before the wedding date).

We recommend you order your Save The Dates at least 10-12 months before your wedding date.  Definitely 1 year if you’re having a destination wedding.

CLASSIC HANDMADE PAPER

320gsm Ivory handmade paper with a slightly uneven texture and beautiful deckled edges. Available in A5, A6 and A7 sizes.

WHITE HANDMADE PAPER

Our smooth white handmade paper comes with lovely soft deckled edges.  320gsm and comes in A5, A6 and A7 sizes.

540gsm Card

HEAVY WEIGHT PREMIUM CARD

Our heavy weight card stock comes in 540gsm and a variety of colours. Perfect straight edges and great for foil and letterpress printing.  Available in A5, A6 and A7 sizes.

270gsm card

MEDIUM WEIGHT PREMIUM CARD

Our medium weight card stock comes in 350gsm and a variety of colours. Perfect straight edges and great for digital printing. Available in A5, A6 and A7 sizes.

PRINTING METHOD

FOIL

Foil printing is achieved by placing a piece of metallic foil on top of paper and then applying a metal plate on top with pressure and heat.  We provide foil printing on all our paper types.

LETTERPRESS

Lettepress printing will produce a beautiful debossed impression on the paper. We provide many different ink colours. We provide letterpress on all our paper types.

Digital printing is like normal at home printing and can be provided in black or colour ink. We provide digital printing on all our handmade paper and medium card.

CALLIGRAPHY STYLES

We have 3 calligraphy styles available to choose from that can be written in any ink colour including metallic shades and white.  Calligraphy script can be added to your envelopes for the guest names and/or addresses.  If you do not wish for calligraphy script on the envelopes we also offer digital printing of a font.

LE PARADIS

Modern & elegant with minimal loops and light and delicate thick and thin lines.  An airy and spaced out script style that gives a loose and relaxed feel.

SIGNATURE

The signature modern calligraphy style with billowy loops and distinctive thick and thin lines.

CLASSICAL

Copperplate calligraphy that gives a classic & formal look and feel to any stationery item.

ENVELOPE LINERS

Envelope liners add character and personality to any invitation suite and allows you to add more of an insight into your wedding celebrations. We have quite a few designs for you to choose from which you can scroll through below.  If you don’t see what you have in mind please feel free to get in touch.

VELLUM WRAP

Vellum wraps are made of semi-transparent paper with a printed design of your choice.  We can provide vellum wraps in any of the prints you see below under Envelope Liners.  These are perfect for wrapping your invitation suite papers and then tying a piece of silk ribbon or fine twine.

WAX SEALS

Wax seal stamps are a popular finishing touch for any invitation suite that can be added to envelopes or vellum wraps.  We have curated some of our most popular designs for our semi-custom collection clients.  Please see below for the different wax seal colours available.

SILK RIBBON

Our hand dyed botanical silk ribbons come in 0.5″ and 1″ widths. Silk ribbon will add an elegant and beautiful finishing touch to your invitation suite. Ideal for when there are multiple inserts in your suite and you wish to tie perfect paper bundles.

FAQS

Yes, we definitely do!  Most of our customers are based outside the UK, so this is not a new thing for us.  All shipping charges are calculated at checkout depending on your location in the world.  We use DHL Express for our all orders and once your order is shipped you will receive the tracking details and be notified of delivery status.

All prices for our semi-custom collections is available on our website and you can shop directly today.  Head over to our semi-custom collection page and you will be able to click on any of the designs and see the separate paper stationery elements and extras.  Once you select what you would like, you will then be asked the quantity, paper type and printing method and a price will be calculated.  You can add as many different items and see the price breakdown.  Any relevant VAT costs will also show.

For bespoke stationery there are different timelines and we recommend you reach out to us by email to discuss that.

We probably can!  But the best thing to do is to call or email us as soon as possible so we can discuss your requirements and then let you know.  Please note that a rush fee will be added to your order.

We totally get that this is very new to all engaged couples and the wording can be a little tricky!  We’ve put together a comprehensive guide to assist you.  Please click here to access it.  But, we also provide this service for our couples and will talk you through it.  So once you’ve placed your order, all help and guidance will be offered to get your wording perfect!

Absolutely! We provide a great proofing system with digital rendered designs.  Once we have all the information we need to put your design together we will create digital proofs and upload them to your client area. We will make up to 2 rounds of changes to your design free of charge and then after that they will be charged at our hourly rate of £75 per hour.

You only need to order an invitation suite for each household and not every guest.  So for a wedding party of 100 guests, we recommend ordering 75-85 sets.  Don’t forget to order extras for last minute additional guests, keepsakes and your photographer!

Once you have placed an order for a semi-custom invitation design, we will send you a confirmation email and details of how to log in to your dedicated client area.  You will receive full instructions on how to navigate our CRM system and where to upload all the information we need to make your order including: wording, paper & envelope colour, envelope liner choice, calligraphy style, vellum wrap choice, wax seal design and colour and ribbon colour & width.
